What a sweet heartwarming story. 3.5 stars.
The Locker Room
This is the beautiful coming of age story of Xander and Chris. The two met when they were 14 on a basketball court. Xander grew up in the home with an addicted mother who was never there for him. Upon meeting Chris, Xander felt like he was salvation.
I'm at a loss as to what to what write because I feel like if I go beyond this point I'll be spoiling the feeling and emotion of the book and I don't want to do that for any future reader. Instead I will tell you that this is one of the most heartfelt books I've ever read. The friendship, devotion, loyalty, anguish, and love between these two men is felt in every single page of this book. It also saddened me to think that the events that took place in their story still occur in this day and age. It's sad that people still feel afraid to love openly but I have faith that society as a whole will open their eyes.
I'll stop preaching now, but I really was so angry for them for what they went through and felt forced to do. The fact that Miss Lane was able to evoke all these emotions is a true testament of her magnificent writing. It was flawless. This is a book I highly recommend. 5 gigantic, beautiful, moving stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Present Perfect is the heartwarming and emotional story of Amanda. A beautiful, complicated girl filled with insecurities after having grown up in her sister's shadow. Amanda wasn't alone though, she had her knight in plastic armor, Noah.
Noah,was always there believing in her. Her best friend.
Except there were so many more feelings than those of pure friendship. They were soul mates in the truest form of the sense. They experienced everything together. Amanda believing she isn't good enough for him and fearing losing him, refuses to take their friendship to the next level. Soon life takes over and the chain of events that take place will make you think twice about what's truly important in life.
Their story consumed me from the beginning and was so much more than I was expecting. It made me feel every emotion possible. I laughed, I cried, I was angry, and emotional. Their was great dialogue and character development. The writing in this book amazing. If only I could give this book more than 5 stars. I recommend this book to everyone. I think sometimes we all forget what's really important in life and need a small reminder.

Not sure what happened. It just didn't capture my interest. I wouldn't dissuade others from reading it, just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. I encourage others to give it a try.

There's already many amazing reviews for this book so I won't rehash the synopsis. What I will say is the writing is excellent and I throughly enjoyed reading this story. It's one of those hidden gems that come out of nowhere. Don't read this next bit if you haven't read the book I hated the way it ended. Hated. Not because of the way things played out but because the story just ended. I'm really hoping she'll come out with a book 2. I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is an author to look out for!!! 4.5 stars!!!!

One night after a show he decides to get a tattoo and meets Charlee, the tattoo artist.
She's on the run from Roy, a sadistic man who sexually assualted her and kept her prisoner for years.
During this chance meeting that Charlee frees something in him and inspires him to be a better man worthy of her. He leaves that night, never imagining that it would be years before they would meet again and that they would both be held hostage in their own private hell.
I don't want to go any further because I don't want to spoil their story. It is beautiful to read the strength they find in each other. This story will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions-
It was the whole package. This book despite being dark and gritty, was also sweet. This was an easy 5 star rating!
Hot damn look at that cover! The cover whore in me demands this book be added to my TBR!
